Special thanks to Czar for steering me in the right direction
Please submit any suggestions, bug reports etc. to me on either SPaM, or the Buzzard's Nest IV.
MasterKey II is the successor to my original MasterKey program, which removes the passwords from FileMaker II and FileMaker Pro 1.0 files. MasterKey II now supports FileMaker Pro 2.0 files (look for a DOS version soon).
For those of you familiar with my original MasterKey, you'll love the fact that MasterKey II reads as much of the file into memory as possible (the more you allocate to MasterKey II via Get Info, the faster, and less drive activity required).
I still haven't resolved the problem with the "(no password)" secondary access preceeding a main level password. I've figured out a way around it, but I'm not too happy with it.
This is a beta release, and I don't warrant or guarantee a damned thing!
As such, I would like to have any and all response (good and bad) at the above boards.
As this is a beta release, I would like for it to stay within the "community" (I'll use you pirates for beta guinea pigs). You may distribute the release where ever you like.
What it doesn't do:
• It doesn't have a flashy splash screen (yet)
• It doesn't do a whole lot of error checking (yet)
In the release:
• The list of "doesn't dos"
• Support for FileMaker II, and FileMaker Pro 1.0 files
• Preferences, to allow you to remove the first, or all, top level passwords, and whatever else.
•••••••••••
NOTE: As I'm not an artist, how about some help on the splash screen. Whoever comes up with the best splash screen will be imortalized for life with their name/handle listed in the credits...
•••••••••••
Enjoy, and please, let me know of any bugs ASAP!
